Nearly 4 million people in Dhaka are exposed to the dire consequences of water pollution every day. The chemical waste of mills and factories, home waste, medical wastes, sewage, dead animals, plastics, and oils, pollute Buriganga.
As Dhaka is desperately thriving towards industrialization and urbanization, Buriganga, a glorious and mighty river, deteriorates every day.
Around the Beri Bandh area, on the river banks, I photographed the daily life of the people and the space. Here I am trying to understand the relationship between the man and the river.
